Edward Hamilton-Stubber and Jon Muschamp win BSC Short Film Awards

The BSC Short Film showcase took place on Saturday 5th October in London. The event which is sponsored by ARRI is a celebration of Short Films across two categories - BSC Club and Student entries.

In the Student category, Edward Hamilton-Stubber won for his Cinematography on the National Film and Television School short film "Tapeworm". This is the first time Edward Hamilton-Stubber has been nominated and won in this category and the fourth time the NFTS has won in this category.

Edward extended his thanks to director Daniel Rands, producer Ella Ritchie, gaffer Mark Lane and Steadicam Operator Lee David Brown. The film was serviced by Panavision London.

The BSC also congratulates the other four nominees: Zhang Yang (Farewell, LFS), Adar Raviv (Lapel, LFS), Moritz Lips (The Horse in a Blue Tuxedo, LFS) and Christopher Hudson (Photograph 1, NFTS).

In the BSC Club category the winner was Jon Muschamp for his photography of the short film "Bookyville". This is Jon Muschamp's first win and nomination in this category.

Jon extended his thanks to everyone at Big Deal Films, director Nakiah Varcianna, focus puller Sam Irwin, gaffer Alex Mcgill and colourist Vlad Barin. The film was serviced by Focus Canning, Greenkit London and Harbor Picture Company.

The other four nominees in this category were Alex Grigoras (Atom and Void), Mark Nutkins (Lullaby), Oliver Ford (Nearly Never) and Ronnie McQuillan (Sitter).

Over 70 short films were submitted to the competition and the jury were incredibly impressed by the high-standard of work across the board.
