Membership Engagement Committee
The Membership Engagement Committee (MEC) was created to organise and engage the BSC membership. Rather than focusing only on recruiting new members, it works to ensure members find value in staying active and engaging with the society.
Core Activities
- Welcome new Members: Create onboarding processes, welcome events, or mentoring programs that help new members feel included.
- Increase participation: Encourage engagement in committees and volunteer opportunities.
- Showcase Members work: This can be through the BSC Q&A series, the BSC Podcast, Social Media or other avenues.
- Maintain the BSC legacy: Ensure that the work of Honorary and former Members continues to the be showcase and celebrated.
- Social Events: Including the Summer Drinks, Christmas Drinks and Honorary Members Luncheons.
