I left school in 1958 to attend The Bournemouth College of Art to study photography for three years.
In 1967 I joined a film production company in Jersey but after a couple of years the company went bust.
In 1969 I joined the BBC in Belfast as a camera assistant and was made up to cameraman two years later. I remained in Belfast until 1981 during which time I shot documentaries, current affairs, news and drama. I had a terrific twelve years in N. Ireland, despite the Troubles.
In 1981 I moved to the Ealing Studios with the BBC and again worked on documentaries and drama. I left Ealing in 1994 to become freelance and worked on television drama until 2010.
