In 1967 I joined a film production company in Jersey but after a couple of years the company went bust.

In 1969 I joined the BBC in Belfast as a camera assistant and was made up to cameraman two years later. I remained in Belfast until 1981 during which time I shot documentaries, current affairs, news and drama. I had a terrific twelve years in N. Ireland, despite the Troubles.
