Director of Photography of 24 feature films, distributed theatrically, internationally; 25 TV feature film titles, incl. series and 4-parters. Over 50 documentaries. Various other film projects, commercials, pop-promos, live-action animation, shorts, etc.
Films include the much-awarded Personnel, directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski, with whom he has also made a number of documentaries. The directors Witold has worked with in Poland include Marek Piwowski, Tomasz Zygadło, Marcel Łoziński, Andrzej Titkow, Edward Żebrowski, Filip Bajon. The latest Polish productions: Galerianki, Lincz, Viva Belarus, Śluby Panieńskie.
In the UK, his feature films include; Hidden City, Close My Eyes and Century by Stephen Poliakoff, Two Deaths by Nicolas Roeg, The Stringer by Paweł Pawlikowski, Among Giants by Sam Miller, The Match by Michael Davies or Gladiatress by Brian Grant.
Individual Awards: Polish FF Gdańsk 1981 'Best Cinematography Award' for W Biały Dzień/In Broad Daylight; Best Script Award - Cannes FF 1982 for Moonlighting, (Co-wrote screenplay)
BAFTA TV Award nom. Best Photography 1995 for The Rector's Wife.
He has also directed a string of award-winning documentaries, and has taught at a number of institutions in the UK and internationally.
