JAMES (JIMMY) ALLEN BSC
Allen worked primarily on documentary shorts mostly with director James Hill and some television series including The Baron (1966), Gideon C.I.D. (1965-67), The Champions (1969), Sam of the River (1975) and The New Avengers (1976). He also shot additional photography on Kidnapped (1971) directed by Delbert Mann and photographed by Paul Beeson BSC as well as second unit on The Tamarind Seed (1974) directed by Blake Edwards and photographed by Freddie Young OBE BSC. His last credit was as one of several cameramen for the short film The Great Pram Race (1978) again with director, James Hill, of an annual charity event in aid of Muscular Dystrophy that went on to be a support feature in cinemas (for the original Star Wars amongst others) and narrated by the late Peter Sellers.
