GODFREY GODAR BSC
Godar started as a clapper loader in 1947 progressing to focus puller in 1949 and to operating by 1959 with credits such as: Oscar Wilde (1960 directed by Gregory Ratoff, photographed by George Périnal BSC) and Funeral In Berlin (1966 Directed by Guy Hamilton). He operated 15 films for Alan Hume BSC and many others such as Ernest Steward BSC, Paul Beeson BSC, Otto Heller BSC, Wilkie Cooper BSC, etc… He also photographed a few second units including Superman IV: Quest for Peace (1987 Directed by Sidney J. Furie)
Further to his operating, Godfrey photographed 5 films and produced 2 and was elected to the BSC in 1976.
