MORAY GRANT BSC

A Scottish cinematographer who’s full name is Robert David Moray Grant.

His first credit as an operator was in 1943 with Old Mother Riley Overseas (Directed by Oswald Mitchell, photographed by Gerald Gibbs BSC)) – a series of comedy films featuring a popular drag act of an old woman played by male comedian, Arthur Lucan.

He went on to operate on many films including The Day The Earth Caught Fire  (1961 Directed by Val Guest, photographed by Harry Waxman BSC), The Old Dark House (1963 Directed by William Castle, photographed by Arthur Grant BSC).

Became director photography on Monique (1970 Directed by John Bown) and photographed such films as: The Vampire Lovers (1970 Directed by Roy Ward Baker), The Horror of Frankenstein (1970 Directed by Jimmy Sangster) and Vampire Circus (1972 Directed by Robert Young). His last credit was for The Copter Kids (1976 Directed by Roland Spencer).
