RAY PARSLOW BSC
Ray began his career at Technicolor as a technician working with the temperamental 3-strip cameras and became one of their prime crew members.
He was the focus puller on two classic British Technicolor films: GENEVIEVE (1953) directed by Henry Cornelius and photographed by Chris Challis BSC and THE LADYKILLERS (1955) directed by Alexander Mackendrick and photographed by Otto Heller BSC.
He went on the operate on films such as: THE LONG SHIPS (1964) directed by Jack Cardiff BSC and photographed by Chris Challis BSC; GENGHIS KHAN (1965) directed by Henry Levin and photographed by Geoffrey Unsworth BSC; ALFIE (1966) directed by Lewis Gilbert and photographed by Otto Heller BSC; KHARTOUM (1966) directed by Basil Dearden and photographed by Edward Scaife BSC [until recent times, one of the last films photographed in Super Panavision 70) and BLOW-UP (1966) directed by Antonioni and photographed by Carlo di Palma AIC.
His first credit as a DP came with SOME MAY LIVE (1967) directed by Vernon Sewell he followed that with his best known work THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD (1971) directed by Peter Duffell. Towards the end of his career he moved into television with series such as DICK TURPIN (1981) multiple directors; WIDOWS (1983) directed by Ian Toynton and his last credit RED FOX ( 1991) also directed by Ian Toynton.
