Stuart Harris began his career at Elstree studios where he worked his way up through the camera department, working on films including 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Boyfriend and Three into Two Won't Go.
His career as a Cinematographer began in the field of commercials, shooting well over 3,000 commercials across his career and winning awards including the D&AD award. He is particularly proud of his work with the legendary director, Storm Thorgerson - his music video for Pink Floyd has gone on to become one of the most referenced of that period.
In the field of Feature Films, Stuart has worked with a range of directors including Sir David Hare on Wetherby, which won the Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
Stuart remains an active Cinematographer is currently Co-head of the Cinematography MA course and Head of the Directing Commercials course at the National Film and Television School.
