The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) have today voted to join the Writers Guild of America (WGA) in strike action.
The British Society of Cinematographers is neither a union nor political organisation but stands in solidarity with those struggling to make their voice heard and achieve equitable remuneration for the work they do.
Strike action is used by Unions as a last resort… showing that negotiations have failed. We encourage these conversations to continue to reach an agreement with fairness, equality and respect at its core.
This will be a difficult time for many in our industry and we encourage those who are struggling to reach out to organisations such as The Film and TV Charity to ensure that they receive the support that they need.
