The 76th Annual Creative Arts Emmys took place in Los Angeles over the weekend where the FX series Shōgun dominated winning 14 Emmys and Sam McCurdy ASC BSC snatched the Emmy for Best Cinematography (One-hour Series) for his work on Shōgun "Crimson Sky".
This was Sam's first nomination and win at the Emmys and he nudged out fellow society members Christopher Ross BSC (Shōgun) and Adriano Goldman ASC BSC AMC (The Crown) for the win. In the Miniseries category Florian Hoffmeister BSC was nominated for his photography of the anthology series "True Detective: Night Country" but lost to Robert Elswitt ASC for his work on Ripley.
