The UK now has three film processing facilities on offer to the motion picture industry.
To add to the existing traditional film processing on offer from i-Dailies and Cinelab, a mobile film laboratory from Alpha Grip is the latest edition to strengthen the UK’s position when shooting on Kodak motion picture film.
The BSC were delighted to have the opportunity to look round the new mobile lab at Pinewood during an North Lodge open evening which took place on Thursday 26th March 2015.

In addition to our 2 Spirit Datacines scanning to HD and 2k Files with Sound Sync plus an ARRI record-out facility, our complete Laboratory services include shot to shot Analyser Film Grading, the only Laboratory to offer this in the UK allowing us to provide DOP’s with Printer lights at the Rushes stage if required along with 35mm Printing, Print Processing and Sound Track Developing.’
i dailies has invested in 2k projection running off dedicated servers. We also have our Spirit Datacines connected to the DCP with a full grading suite set up in our theatre which has a 22 foot throw so that Clients can enjoy grading in a bespoke environment.
