Dissent and Disruption: The Complete Alan Clarke at the BFI

To follow on from the currently running Alan Clarke celebration, showcasing at the BFI Southbank between 22^nd April to 9^th May, the BFI will be releasing a  limited edition complete Alan Clarke Blu-Ray boxset including an extensive catalogue of extras, as well as two superb DVD boxsets documenting his career in two parts, a remastered edition of Penda’s Fen and a never before seen directors cut of The Firm.  Click here for more details.

Alan Clarke is well known for his masterful use of Steadicam and long tracking shots, describing his films primarily as “walking movies.”   This distinctive style is arguably what makes his films instantly recognisable.
