Another wonderful Operators Night was held at The Langham Hotel in London on Friday 1st December, an exquisite venue offering a grand ballroom full of wonderful members and guests. The evening was hosted by President Mike Eley BSC assisted by 'Master of Ceremonies - 1st AD Marcus Catlin. We were extremely grateful to have Ralph Fiennes as our Guest of Honour this year.

The evening was dedicated to Mark Milsome GBCT/ACO who was tragically killed on set recently which has been a huge shock to his family and colleagues. Peter MacDonald BSC who has known the Milsome family for many years, read the tribute to Mark which was followed by a toast from the society. He will be deeply missed.
There is a fundraiser for Mark's family, should anyone like to contribute to this: https://fundrazr.com/mark-milsome?ref=ab_070e1d_ab_7vcpzozvzOR7vcpzozvzOR
John Mathieson BSC raised a toast to the Operators and David Worley Ass BSC kindly toasted the society.
Several awards were presented during the evening and we would like to congratulate all who were nominated and of course the winners.

Enormous thanks to Ralph Fiennes who spent a staggering amount of £15,000 from Robin Vidgeon's auction of Freddie Young's Light Meter which he used on many of his films!
