Tár and Landscapers win at Camerimage!

 

Florian Hoffmeister BSC has won the 2022 Camerimage Golden Frog for his work on the Todd Field's film Tár. This is the sixth time a society member has won the Main Competition with previous winners including Robbie Ryan BSC ISC, Dick Pope BSC and Remi Adefarasin BSC. 

This year a record number of society members had their work featured in the competition including James Friend ASC BSC for All Quiet on the Western Front, Lol Crawley BSC for White Noise and Sir Roger Deakins ASC BSC for Empire of Light.

In addition to Florian winning for Tár, Erik Wilson BSC won in the Television category for Landscapers, for which he has already won the BSC Television Drama Award and the BAFTA for Photography & Lighting (Fiction). Other society members in the Television category at Camerimage included Anthony Dod Mantle ASC BSC DFF for Pistol and Florian Hoffmeister BSC for Pachinko. 

Outside of the competition's Ben Davis BSC screened The Banshees of Inisherin, the new film by director by Martin McDonagh.
