2023 Cinematography In A Short Film Nominees Announced!

LONDON -

The British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) are delighted to announce the 2023 Short Film Competition Nominees sponsored by ARRI. 

Over 80 short films were submitted to the competition and a jury of society members set to work viewing the amazing entries from across the UK.

The nominees for the 2023 Cinematography In A Student Short Film category are:

In the BSC Club category, the nominees are:

The winners will be announced on the 18th October at our BSC Short Film competition evening in London. The BSC Student winner will receive a camera package of an Alexa Mini LF and Signature Prime Lenses for one week, kindly provided by ARRI. The BSC Club winner will receive a camera package of an Alexa 35 or Mini LF and set of Signature Primes and Zooms for one week.

  • Only members of the BSC Club were eligible to submit a film in that category.
  • All students and graduates (up to 18 months after graduating) are eligible to submit a film to the student category.
