Lol Crawley BSC won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography last night in Los Angeles, his win marks the 27th time a BSC member has won the coveted Cinematography Oscar. Lol won for his work on The Brutalist which was shot using VistaVision on 35mm and directed by longtime collaborator Brady Corbet. The Brutalist also grabbed the Oscars for Best Actor (Adrian Brody) and Best Original Score.
The Substance (shot by Benjamin Kracun BSC) won the Oscar for Best Make-Up and Hair, while the other big winners on the night were Anora (shot by Drew Daniels), Dune: Part 2 (shot by Greig Fraser ASC ACS) and Emila Perez (shot by Paul Guilhaume AFC).
