BAFTA Nominations for Chris Ross, Benedict Spence and Stephen Murphy!

 

The 2025 BAFTA Nominations were announced this afternoon and we are delighted to say three members are nominated in the category of Photography & Lighting: Fiction

 

  • Benedict Spence BSC for "Eric" (Netflix)
  • Christopher Ross BSC for "Shōgun" (FX)
  • Stephen Murphy BSC ISC for "Say Nothing" (Disney+)

This is the first BAFTA nomination for Benedict Spence and Stephen Murphy and the second BAFTA nomination for Christopher Ross.

Emmy-winner Baby Reindeer led the BAFTA nominations for 8 nominations including a nomination in the Limited Drama category. Among the Cinematographers working on Baby Reindeer was Annika Summerson BSC. Also nominated in the Limited Drama category was Mr. Bates vs. The Post Office which was shot by Matt Gray BSC and Netflix's One Day which had Ollie Downey BSC as one of its Cinematographers.

Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light was nominated in several categories including Drama Series and Director, the series features the cinematography of Gavin Finney BSC.

In the International category we have Shōgun which had among its cinematographers the now BAFTA-nominated Chris Ross BSC and Sam McCurdy ASC BSC, Say Nothing which again has the now BAFTA-nominated Stephen Murphy BSC ISC and David Raedeker BSC and True Detective: Night Country shot by Florian Hoffmeister BSC.

Mr. Loverman scored nominations for Lead Actor and Lead Actress, that show was shot by Remi Adefarasin BSC.
