We are delighted to announce today that the society has invited eight Cinematographers to Full Membership and six Camera Operators to Associate Membership of the society.
Joining the society as Full Members are:
Tasha Back is an award-winning Cinematographer, having previously won the BSC Short Film Award in 2021. Among Tasha’s credits are the TV Series ‘The Tower’ and ‘Traces’ as well as the independent feature films ‘Girl’ and ‘In Camera’; Catherine Derry has an extensive background in both Short Films and Music Videos, working her way up to shooting major TV shows ‘The Great’, ‘Industry’ and ‘A Thousand Blows’. Neville Kidd ASC is an Emmy-winning Cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers. Neville won his Emmy for his work on Sherlock and has worked on major TV shows such as ‘The Umbrella Academy’ and ‘Altered Carbon’. Jamie D. Ramsay SASC is a member of the South African Society of Cinematographers and has shot films as wide-ranging as the critically acclaimed ‘Moffie’ to the BAFTA-nominated ‘All of Us Strangers’ and ‘Living’. Aaron Reid shot the hit series 'Supacell' as well as critically acclaimed dramas such as 'Stephen' and 'The Walk-In'. Ben Richardson ASC is an Emmy-nominated Cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers. Ben shot the Oscar-nominated film 'Beasts of the Southern Wild' and received Emmy nominations for his work on 'Mare of Easttown' and '1883'. Oli Russell is a BAFTA-nominated Cinematographer having shot 'Sex Education', 'Red Eye' and 'The Gold'. Susanne Salavati is a Cinematographer who has worked across drama and documentary, her most recent credits include 'The Crow Girl' and 'Truelove'.
Joining in the Associate Membership category are:
Jon Beacham ACO was nominated for the Operators Award for 'Carnival Row', among his other credits are 'The Agency', 'Mary & George' and 'A Town Called Malice'. John Hembrough ACO is an acclaimed Steadicam Operator whose work stretches film and television drama. His most recent credits include 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz' and 'Reunion'. Robert Hollingworth is a BAFTA-nominated photographer whose work focuses mainly in the field of Natural History, he also worked in narrative helping to develop the wildlife shots used in 'All Quiet on the Western Front' and 'Encounter'. Christopher McGuire SOC ACO works on some of the biggest and challenging films in the world from 'Alien: Romulus' to 'Venom: The Last Dance' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3'. Richard Philpott ACO has a wide-ranging CV from both television and film. He worked as A-camera operator on TV Dramas such as 'Poirot', 'Sharpe' and 'Bad Girls" and most recently has been working on C-Camera on Films 'Gladiator II' and 'Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom'. Joe Russell ACO is an award-winning camera operator working on shows such as 'Andor', 'Silo' and 'House of the Dragon'. He is also a board member of the ACO.

The new members will be invited to the BSC Summer Lunch on Sunday, 6th July to receive their membership certificates and meet their fellow members.
