The 2025 BFI London Film Festival has unveiled its line-up, and we’re delighted to see so many works by our members among the selected films.
Ben Fordesman BSC shot two entries in this year’s festival: Anemone (dir. Ronan Day-Lewis) and The Thing with Feathers (dir. Dylan Southern). Oscar-winner
James Friend BSC ASC once again collaborates with Edward Berger on Ballad of a Small Player (dir. Edward Berger), while
Robbie Ryan BSC ISC continues his long-standing partnership with Yorgos Lanthimos on Bugonia (dir. Yorgos Lanthimos) — their fourth film together.
Daniel Landin BSC brings his artistry to Broken English (dir. Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard), a striking documentary tracing Marianne Faithfull’s six-decade journey through music and fame.
Stuart Bentley BSC reunites with Oscar-winners Aneil Karia and Riz Ahmed for a bold new adaptation of Hamlet (dir. Aneil Karia).
Seamus McGarvey ASC BSC ISC teams up once more with the great Lynne Ramsay for the powerful Die My Love (dir. Lynne Ramsay).
Meanwhile,
Mike Eley BSC lenses The Choral (dir. Nicholas Hytner), starring Ralph Fiennes, and
Larry Smith ASC BSC brings to the screen Giant (dir. Rowan Athale), a biopic of legendary boxer Prince Naseem. Finally,
Sean Bobbitt BSC teams with Nia DaCosta to bring Hedda to the big screen based on the play by Ibsen.
