2025 BSC Short Film Award Nominations Announced

 

The British Society of Cinematographers (BSC) is delighted to announce the nominations for the 2025 BSC Short Film Awards. The society received over 140 entries and over 50 society members acted as jurors to help as get to these final 9 films. The nominations in alphabetical order are:

CINEMATOGRAPHY IN A SHORT FILM (UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT)

  • ALMA - Jack Palladino Hebditch, Cinematographer (University of Portsmouth)
  • DOGBONE - Theo Hughes, Cinematographer (University of Salford)
  • JAMES PEARSON-HOWES: SITTING STILL - Trey Joél Robinson, Cinematographer (University of the Arts London)

CINEMATOGRAPHY IN A SHORT FILM (POSTGRADUATE STUDENT)

  • EL CORAZÓN - Christopher Hudson, Cinematographer (National Film and Television School)
  • TETHERED - Emmy Ren, Cinematographer (National Film and Television School)
  • WATCH ME BURN - Jonathon Le Grice, Cinematographer (National Film and Television School)

CINEMATOGRAPHY IN A SHORT FILM (BSC CLUB)

  • FLOCK - Linda Wu, Cinematographer
  • GESUALDO - Yiannis Manolopoulos, Cinematographer
  • TWAIN - Chris Clarke, Cinematographer

The BSC Short Film Awards are sponsored this year by ARRI and The Look with both companies contributing prizes including a 5-day rental package from ARRI and up to 8-hours of Post-Production support from The Look.

The BSC Short Film evening will take place on Wednesday 12th November in Leicester Square where the winners will be announced.
